Every meaningful journey starts with a question.

Ours began with a simple but powerful one:

How can we help young people discover hope, purpose, and a living faith in Jesus Christ?

For years, we had the privilege of working with young people from different backgrounds, cultures, and life situations. Through conversations, youth meetings, schools, churches, and community projects, we noticed a common theme. Many teenagers were searching for something deeper. They were looking for identity, belonging, purpose, and answers to life’s biggest questions.

At the same time, we saw the challenges facing today’s generation. Social media constantly tells young people who they should be. Academic pressure pushes them to perform. Mental health struggles are increasing, and many teenagers feel isolated despite being more connected digitally than ever before.

Yet in the middle of these challenges, we also saw something encouraging: young people are hungry for authenticity. They want real relationships, real conversations, and real hope.

As followers of Christ, we believe that true hope is found in Jesus. We believe that every young person is created with purpose, loved by God, and called to make a difference in the world. This conviction inspired us to dream about creating a unique event specifically for teenagers—a place where faith would come alive, friendships would be built, and lives could be transformed.

A Dream Bigger Than an Event

In the beginning, the idea was simply to organize a Christian gathering for teenagers. We discussed worship sessions, inspiring speakers, games, activities, and opportunities for young people to connect with one another.

However, as the vision developed, we realized that we wanted something more than a one-time event.

We wanted to create an experience that would encourage young people to continue growing in their faith long after the event ended. We wanted them to leave knowing that they were not alone, that God sees them, and that their lives matter.

The more we prayed and planned, the more one word kept returning to our conversations:

Hope.

Hope for teenagers struggling with anxiety.

Hope for those who feel forgotten or overlooked.

Hope for young people facing difficult circumstances at home or school.

Hope for a generation that often hears messages of fear, division, and uncertainty.

We became convinced that hope was not just one aspect of our vision—it was the very heart of it.

Finding the Right Name

Choosing a name was not easy.

Many ideas were considered. Some focused on youth. Others highlighted faith, community, or discipleship. While each option had strengths, none truly captured what we felt God was calling us to build.

Then one day, the idea of Generation Hope emerged.

The moment we heard it, something clicked.

The name expressed exactly what we wanted to communicate.

Generation represents today’s young people—the leaders, dreamers, creators, and changemakers of tomorrow. It reminds us that every generation faces unique challenges, but every generation also has the potential to impact the world for good.

Hope represents the message at the center of the Gospel. It is the confidence that God is with us, that our lives have purpose, and that no situation is beyond God’s ability to redeem and transform.

Together, the two words created a clear vision:

A generation empowered by hope and rooted in Christ.

More Than a Conference

From the beginning, Generation Hope was never intended to be just another Christian event on the calendar.

Our vision is to create a community where young people can:

• Encounter Jesus in a personal way.
• Build meaningful friendships.
• Ask difficult questions without fear.
• Discover their gifts and talents.
• Learn how faith applies to everyday life.
• Be inspired to serve others and make a positive impact in their communities.

We believe that when young people experience God’s love and understand their identity in Christ, they become agents of change wherever they go.

Generation Hope is therefore not only about what happens on a stage. It is about what happens in hearts.

It is about teenagers realizing they are deeply loved by God.

It is about finding courage in moments of doubt.

It is about learning that faith is not merely a Sunday activity but a way of living every day.

Looking Toward the Future

Today, Generation Hope continues to grow as a vision centered on faith, community, and transformation.

Our dream is to see young people from different churches, backgrounds, and nations come together as one generation united by hope. We want to equip teenagers to become confident followers of Christ who bring light, compassion, and leadership into their schools, families, churches, and communities.

The challenges facing this generation are real, but so is the hope that we find in Jesus Christ.

That hope is stronger than fear.

Stronger than uncertainty.

Stronger than disappointment.

And it is available to every young person willing to embrace it.

Our Mission

Generation Hope exists because we believe that this generation matters.

We believe that God is raising up young people who will lead with faith, serve with compassion, and live with purpose.

Most importantly, we believe that hope is not just a feeling—it is a person.

And His name is Jesus.
